When you bring the kids to the Library to choose books to bring home, here’s an idea. Maybe sit for a few minutes to share a particularly good book before you go to check out and go on with your day. Just a few minutes of quiet reading together can be one of the many small building blocks that build reading fluency – not to mention it’s a great way to create a little bubble of joy in your day.
And if you can, stay a bit longer and explore the many manipulatives and activities available 24/7 in the Childrens’ Area. We have been building a collection for use in-house; puzzles, games, and more to help boost alternate literacies (numerical, digital, environmental, etc.) for all to use and enjoy!
So come and read, play, build, share, and learn!
