Does the library have newspapers and magazines?

The library subscribes to numerous local and national newspapers and magazines. In addition, we subscribe to databases with full text and PDF articles that you can access online from inside or outside of the library.

Can I take newspapers and magazines out?

Newspapers do not circulate. The current issue of each magazine can only be used in the library, however, back can be checked out.  Additionally we have many magazines in digital format using RBDigital.

How long can I take magazines out for?

See the Loan Rules chart for a complete list of loan rules and fines.

Do you have children’s magazines?

The library has lots of adult and teen magazines.  We no longer carry children’s magazine because there was no interest.

Can I renew magazines?

Yes. Magazines can be renewed once. But don’t forget that there are thousands of articles available online and they are free.

Can I request a magazine from another library?

Yes. However, the process is a little different from placing a regular hold because of the huge number of items, so just ask a staff member and we’ll place the hold for you.
