Book Sales

The Friends sponsor two annual used book sales; one in the spring and one in the fall.  Follow us on social media (Facebook and instagram) for information.

We also send announcements and we’ll include you on the list if you email (FOL@EFLibrary.org).

Book Donations

Thank you for your interest in donating books to the Friends. Throughout the year we hold book donation drives to collect books and other materials in good condition. LIMIT OF 2 TOTE BAGS/BOXES PER HOUSEHOLD.

We appreciate donations of:

  • Hardcover & paperback fiction & non-fiction books, especially current titles (Children, Teen and Adult)
  • Large print materials
  • Puzzles
  • Sheet music

We cannot accept:

  • Damaged books (e.g., broken bindings, missing pages, soiled, musty or moldy)
  • Clearly outdated books
  • Encyclopedias, textbooks, or reference books
  • Workbooks or study guides
  • Magazines/Periodicals
  • Condensed books (e.g., Reader’s Digest)
  • Discarded library books
  • Media (DVDs, Cassettes, VHS)

All donations must be in good condition, clean, dry, and mold free with no tears, writing, or highlighting. Donations must be in good enough condition for others to want to buy them.  If you would not give it to a friend, please don’t give it to the Friends!

As book lovers we try to give books a chance to make their way to a new reader, but sometimes we must say thank you and send them over the rainbow book bridge. We sort and assess each donation we receive.  We clean, price, and categorize whatever we think can sell to raise funds for the Library. We recycle or trash donations that are in poor condition or unsaleable.
